Since Winter Field Day is this weekend, it's a good time to dust off our portable equipment and make sure everything is in good working order.
For this week's check-in, break out your go kit, portable rig, or whatever you would use in an emergency situation, and use it to check-in to the net.? Send an ICS-213 form (if your client does forms) to W0NE over whatever mode your radio supports.? I'm not brave enough to do this outdoors since rain is in the forecast, so don't feel like you have to either if you don't want.
I will have my station listening for P2P packet connections to KU0HN on 145.030 if you would like to do this exercise P2P.
Next week we will do the exercise with no client.
