I'm always saying how much artistic talent we have at this school and what a wonderful staff we have. It's not just me that thinks so! This week multiple AEHS students won or were nominated for awards in photography and theater. And, the cherry on top, Greg Casement, our instrumental music director, won the MCCPTA Teacher of the Year award. How fantastic is that! Read on for details.
We also have many important events this month, so take note below and update your calendars. The Choral Concert has been moved to Monday, July 13!

One of our AEHS students, Lauren Chiu, received and honor in the National PTA Reflections Program!?
Lauren Chiu received an award of merit for her photograph "Down by 10" at the national level.

We have Cappies Nominees!
Big congratulations to the company of LAVENDER for landing FOUR Cappie Award nominations! This is our highest nomination total in several years and we are super-proud of all who helped make the show a success!

Brandon Victor Dixon Awards Program selects Junior SEGER OTT-RUDOLPH (The Beast) for recognition as a nominee for BEST ACTOR for Beauty and the Beast.
This year Einstein STAGE entered the Brandon Victor Dixon Awards Program ?- this is the local arm of the national Jimmy Awards for High School Musical Theatre.? A panel of judges viewed our production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and has selected junior SEGER OTT-RUDOLPH (The Beast) for recognition as a nominee for BEST ACTOR.? He will move on to a round two of evaluations, and if selected as a finalist ?he would go on to the finals on May 25 - and then, ?if selected as the Best Actor winner, he would participate in the nationwide Jimmy Awards in New York City in June!
Let's congratulate him and wish him luck as our first - ever Brandon Victor Dixon award nominee!
(BTW the award is named after the Broadway actor who grew up in the DC area and is currently Tony Award - nominated for his role in the current hit musical HELL'S KITCHEN, with music by Alicia Keys.
Greg Casement Named MCCPTA Teacher of the Year
The Montgomery County Council of PTAs has recognized AEHS Instrumental Music Director Greg Casement as 'Teacher of the Year"! Please join us all in congratulating Mr. Casement for this prestigious achievement. We all know what a fabulous educator he is and now we know that is recognized outside of our school community. We are privileged to have such great staff at our school. Keep up the great work!

VAC Art Show Thursday, 5/16 & Friday, 5/17, Main St and the Art Gallery
Please visit the amazing VAC Art Show on May 16th and May 17th from 6-8 pm in the Art Gallery on Main Street.
On May 16th we will honor our seniors. On May 17th, we will honor our alumni.
Food and drinks will be served each night. Donations highly appreciated. All are welcome!!

New Date! VAPA Senior Showcase & Awards, Wednesday, 5/22, 5:15pm, Little Theatre
Einstein is moving the VAPA Capstone Sr. Awards May 22 to align with the date for the all- school Senior Awards. The VAPA portion will open to VAPA seniors and families in the Little Theatre at 5:15pm, then folks will transition to the auditorium at 6PM for the whole school senior awards.?Come out and support this year's graduates. They will be missed and this is a chance to celebrate their successes!

The Einstein Jazz Lab, Jazz Ensemble. AND the AEHS Alumni Band perform for your listening pleasure. Come see the progress the student ensembles have made this year and welcome back several Titan alums!
