I’m sure I partied and had lots of fun!

Greetings and Merry Christmas to all my remaining fellow Sparrevohn Survivors and your families! I hope you’re all doing well. I'm a relative newcomer to this bunch class of 1980/81 and we had a great opportunity to take care presents to the near Indian/Eskimo village via AF helicopter. It was probably one of the best Christmas's in my life as one of our guys took a picture! Sparrevohn was the beginning of my AF career and the friendships that happened have lasted to this very day. May all of you continue of live long and prosper.Goodwill to all men and good nite!

Merry Christmas to all my remaining fellow Sparrevohn Survivors and your families! I hope you’re all doing well. I don’t have any outstanding memories of Christmas at Top Camp at Sparrevohn in 1970, except my sweet mother sent a big box of homemade nut rolls. They didn’t last long because I shared them with everybody.

I believe I spent a shift on the radar scope watching for Santa’s sleigh to cross Sparrevohn airspace, but I don’t remember seeing his trace! I remember the famous Sparrevohn Choir strolling through the neighborhood singing Christmas carols�� oh wait, there was no Sparrevohn Choir because nobody there could carry a tune �� just fantasy!

All is well here �� still upright! Merry Christmas to all and to all, a good night!

Amen brothers!! I have no memories of the Xmas of 1960. Maybe because I arrived at SPV a week or so before then. Anyway, neither do I have any memories of other holidays!! Just as well, as that may be a blessing! Merry Christmas to all and may your holiday be a welcome memory of joy and wonder!

My Christmas at Sparrevohn was in 1956. I was eighteen. How the years have flown. Looking back to my year at Opportunity, I realize how quickly that year passed. I remember faces and a few names. I recall that there were eight of us on that remote, cold and snowy hilltop for Christmas. Other than myself, I remember Sgt. Bush, A2c George Pogue, A3c Jim Carpenter. A3c Jake Ordway, Other names but not faces, are obscured in the mists of time. S/Sgt Bush, as usual, was in his cups and decided late Christmas eve was the proper time to dump the honey bucket and the 55 gal barrel, over the side of the mountain. Not fun in the blizzard that was raging across the hill. That said, we got it done without serious incident. Bush passed out and a couple of hours later it was Christmas. We had a good dinner and pleasant time, a few beers and a flick. I don't have any really bad memories of my year there and am glad for the experience.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I did not spend a Christmas or New Year there as I arrived in Feb 77 and left in Aug 77 when RCA OMS took over all the support functions.

As we approach another Christmas, another time with family and friends I would like to Wish All Sparrevohn Veterans a “MERRY CHRISTMAS��!

Another year has past and we have lost friends but yet we survive to celebrate again!

I pray good health and Happiness greet you all this year as you celebrate with Family and Friends!

I had a solemn, and lonely Christmas among friends old and new on a mountain top in Alaska in 1969! I remember the camaraderie and the solemn celebration!

Thanksgiving 1956, our cook did a pretty good job with Thanksgiving dinner. Especially, given that by the time our supplies got to Opportunity, they had been picked over thoroughly by downstairs and then Hilltop. Same thing at Christmas. We ate, had a few beers and had a pretty good day. There were eight of us including our own cook.
