Projects Power Supply STL files

Hi everyone, attached are the STL files for 3D printing an enclosure for the Projects Power Supply. You will need a printer with a build plate larger than 200mm. I used an Ender 3 Pro and PLA+ filament. ??The enclosure is constructed with Dato joints and held together with #4 x 1/2¡± pan head sheet metal screws.

The way I designed the enclosure, the two side panels basically clam shell the power supply and hold it in place.? (It turns out that most desk top power supplies have the exact same dimensions.)? No need to drive screws into the Power supply!

The tolerances are tight so be patient If the pieces do not seem to fit, you may have to ¡°break¡± the corners so the pieces will slide into the Dato joints.? 1 or 2 strokes of 220 grit sandpaper or gently scraping the corresponding edges with an XActo knife on the front, top and back panels should remove any flashing and allow the pieces to come together With light to moderate pressure.? Do not try and slide them in the long way!Line up the ends and squeeze them together.

The internal bracing has the correct size pilot holes for a #4 sheet metal screws.? Please do not use anything larger. Or you will split the braces.? One end of the top panel is shorter than the other.? So make sure you install it correctly for the screw holes and the pilot holes to align. (The front end is labeled ¡°Front¡± BTW).

Alas I am still struggling with how to make the cad files ¡°public¡± in Tinker Cad. ?Once I do, I will post this so you can edit the design anyway you would like. For now, if you want your call sign on the front panel, ping me and I will update and send you a Front Panel STL with your call sign added.

Enjoy!

Very nice, and thanks for your contribution!! I think many will benefit from the STL files.

Hi,
?
I am just beginning to build the Projects Power Supply.
?
Do you know of anyone who would be willing to make this enclosure for me?
I do not have access to a 3d printer.
?
Of course, will pay for the enclosure.
?
Thank you,
Steven Burns

Which project? There are multiple projects discussed here.

Hi Jack,

Pardon me, but I thought I was responding to Kevin's message about the Projects Power Supply.

Anyway, that is the enclosure I would like to get.?

Thanks,?
Steve

Kevin,
Excellent job on your power supply enclosure! ?Please do let us know when you get the design files posted on TinkerCAD. (Which design pkg do you use?). Also, please tell use more about that nifty-looking display module ¡?

Kevin,
?
Did you find a way to make the cad files ¡°public¡± in Tinker Cad for the Projects Power Supply?
?
Or Am I just not finding them here?
?
Thanks,
Larry - WA9LQT

Very nice, Kevin!
