Re: Transmitting noise
Oliver, This is similar to what I am getting.? Do you know how to get rid of it?? I notice that when I connect my HP signal generator, the background noise disappears and I have a clean sine wave with no noise. dave On Sat, Apr 5, 2025 at 10:44?AM Oliver KI3P via <oliver=[email protected]> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýDave Cripe made some changes to the 4SQRP boards and they were V09 versions. ?Greg has provided a link to the build instructions that 4States provided that show V09. ?I thot that some in my kit were marked V10 but I had purchased a set of those before I got the kit from AG1P who has since become an SK. ?I was doing well with my kit until the display

Re: Freq Calibration
Hey Oliver,
I select the 30M band and tune to 10MHz using the Tune knob.? I select SAM demod and use the Fine Tune to get the freq error down to the lowest value possible.? Then I start the Calibration routine.? I then use the Filter knob to adjust the correction factor to lower the freq error to about 0.15Hz.? That then shows up on the graph in the appropriate spot.? That's the graph with the Run Mean, Avg Mean, Std Dev, etc.? I let that run for 30 min then exit and save.
The display then goes back to the operating display (waterfall, etc) and the freq shows 10000190.? When I tune to 10000000 using the Fine Tune knob, I get a very low freq audio tone.? Looks like a little less that 200Hz (ish) on the audio spectrum.
When I shut down and restart then tune to 10MHz, SAM shows a 190 Hz error against my freq standard.
I'll try your recommendation and let you know.
Thanks

Freq Calibration
Hey 'yall,
I'm running a V12, 66.9, TCXO.? I've run freq cal and I'm off by 190 hz.? I've hard coded the cal value into si5351.init as well as 0.0.? The 190 hz error shows against my freq standard (10MHz) as well as my Siglent sig gen.? Zero beat is at 10,000,190. And when I'm listening to some SSB net on 20M, the best audio comes in at +190 hz (assuming they run the net on a whole freq).? Freq cal shows an error of 0.15Hz throughout the 20 min.? I adjust the cal factor to a freq error of 0.15Hz before I start cal.? I've run cal multiple time with the same results.? Everything is temp stabilized.
190 Hz isn't that bad but I'd like it to be close to zero.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Mark
