Yeah that overload is a problem for a lot of SDRs because the front ends are wide open so even a loud AM station by your house could overload the front end and mixing circuits making you think there

You should get audio well before max volume. I had my V12 Main Board and RF board working with my V11 LPF. It worked fine, and I made QSOs with it. - Jerry, KF6VB
