Re: Updated 3rd Edition book NOT shipping from Amazon yet
I just returned mine by saying they sent the wrong book. I then told them about the new version with the new Chapter 20. They issued me a refund and I have to return it to Staples. Jack, W8TEE

All: I ordered two copies for Al and I to review, and they sent me the old book, too. I will be sending mine back, too. When I order again, I'm going to tell them to make sure it has the new cover and Chapter 20, since the previous edition didn't have a Chapter 20. I have no idea what we wrong as the are advertising the new version. Jack, W8TEE Jack, I ordered mine on April 4th, delivered on April 6th And it would appear to be the updated version. <PastedGraphic-1.tiff> ..jpw J P Watters KC9KKO Morris, IL USA

That's what was on the old cover. Look at the new cover. It's not even the same T41...it's a black 3D printed case!

Re: Updated 3rd Edition book NOT shipping from Amazon yet
Get your money back or have them send the correct one. Make sure to tell them they sent you the previous version, not the new one that went Live on the 4th. Jack, W8TEE

Re: SWR Calibration
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe code I wrote to measure SWR from the forward and reflected powers is here: I think Al used it as the starting point for the code that's in ver 66-9, though he took it a lot further and added the calibration methods. Adding support for the diodes is a long way down the priority list for me, so don't hold your breath. Maybe someone out there with a V12 radio would like to take this on and share their work with the rest of us? -------- Original Message -------- On 4/9/25 6:05 PM, K9HZ wrote:

Re: SWR Calibration
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýDave¡ the code for the analog SWR metering is not there.? The code for the I2C stuff is¡ BUT with this said, its not a hard thing to do.? A12 is Forward power and A13 is Reflected at the teensy¡ so then you just need to calibrate the voltages in after scanning with the teensy.? Remember they are LOG Voltages for power... so Forward Power = A*log (forward voltage) and Reflected Power = B*Log(reflected voltage). ?Then SWR is gamma = Reflected Power/ Forward power¡. And SWR = (1+sqrt(gamma))/(1-sqrt(gamma)). ? ? I think Oliver did program this up once upon a time¡ would probably take him 10 seconds to do it. ? ? Dr. William J. Duane: There should be no stock as it is a "Print on Demand" book. Tell then to check for Chapter 20, because earlier versions don't have a chapter 20. Jack, W8TEE

Re: Updated 3rd Edition book NOT shipping from Amazon yet
Return it and have them send the latest version. They are not shipping out of inventory because there is none. Our book is a "print on demand" book that has no inventory. When did you order the book? Jack, W8TEE

Re: Freq Calibration
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOliver, as long as your fixing some minor bugs¡. When the radio is turned on and have not selected any matrix buttons the audio filter tune works correctly.? After selecting any matrix button the filter tune adjustment reverses direction and the amount of increment movement for any rotational movement is divided by at least 10.? Turn the radio off and right back on filter tune works correctly until a matrix button is selected and the above happens again.? Don¡¯t know if you saw my add on earlier about selecting CW and having the fine tune increment cycle with each CW selection and cancellation.? Maybe you have already addressed that with the changes you just made. I will download the new bug fixes and let you know if it is still doing it. Rick, KN4AIE
