Yes, the book corresponds to the V66.9 firmware, so you should update the firmware on your radio. You can find the firmware and the instructions here:

Yes, the code is available on my for v11 though.? I'm slowly modifying it for the v12 hardware changes.? Note that this can't be dropped into the official v11 code.? I needed to find a lot of memory savings to get this to work.

Thanks very much for the replies. I'll get it from , though I see they're still listing the old edition as well as the new one. Luckily I was signed up to this group when all the discussions about the version were taking place so I know which one to order.

I've noticed that my radio sets its time automatically after a few minutes if I have the USB cable plugged in. I have not yet found the code that makes this happen, but I'll get there eventually.

NA that was "cheapest rate" ship. I cannot for the life of me why shipping
went thru the roof recently. There is no reason for it unless the carriers
just don't want the harder business/ want to stick to the easy gravy

Well, I think 3 seconds is ok... keeps you from pressing the button twice accidently and having the radio come right back on... You could probably cut it to 1 second though...
