I just completed the receive calibration in auto mode. It seems to work pretty well but it's not obvious when it completes other than that the figures stop changing much. Also it's not clear if auto mode uses the 0.001 increments. Maybe it does but the display shows 0.01 during the whole process. None the less the calibration produces a good result.

Incidentally, the definition of 60M for Region 1 (Europe) is incorrect. This should be USB with band limits 5258500 and 5406500 (for UK) although these limits do vary depending on what country you are in.

I don't think the T41 has a problem running at 600 MHz with proper cooling as designed.? My 4SQRP T41 doesn't come close to that even decoding FT8 internally and I haven't even installed the fan yet, though it uses a switching 3.3V regulator and the top and side are off the case to allow easy access.? If you're concerned, run at 528 MHz.? I haven't noticed a difference at that speed.? The code will run at a slower rate as well.? Eventually the processor load will increase to 100%, I think at 150 MHz. Not much going on there. |
