¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Yep sorry.. .that¡¯s it.?? It IS on the new schematic.? I think what happened is I tried to put it on the schematic (gave it one designator) and then I asked Oliver to do it and we got different part designators between us.? I¡¯ll get that cleaned up tonight.

Hello Jerry,
?
You might want to have a look at the "Teensy SDR Project" by K7MDL:
?
That is a complete SDR fitting into a 160x100mm Hammond box including a 5" touch screen. The SDR software is running on a Teensy 4.1 leveraging the USB-Interface for USB Audio (input and output) and 2 virtual serial interfaces over the same physical USB connector. One virtual serial interface is used for CAT control and the other for debugging purposes.?
You can find the full source code with explanations how to configure the Arduino environment on github: https://github.com/K7MDL2/KEITHSDR ,
https://github.com/K7MDL2/KEITHSDR/wiki
?
I think it would even be possible to modify the code, so that it could control the T41 hardware. The display is essentially the same (just different size, but same resolution using an RA8875) and it is leveraging the Teensy Audio board for RX and TX.

You can do it on your board by just standing the capacitor straight up in the air from the leg between Y1 and L7¡ and the other side to a close ground pin.? I did that and it seemed to work fine.

Yeah that's what the K3 has too... a TUSB2036 3 to 1 hub, and the three
inputs are a PCM2901 CODEC, a FT232 USB to RS232 converter, and a USB
connection to the PIC processor (for uploading new programming). It¡¯s a
nice little circuit that would work well on a combo audio board (Hmmmm...).

RPI zero has an HDMI port.... and I'm pretty sure it supports I2C.

Actually... My K3 does exactly that... one USB cable that everything

a USB audio chip, and a USB serial-port chip. The serial port functionality
died. I replaced the chip, but it's still dead.

I just found a USB stack that can work on a raspberry pi pico. "TinyUSB". I'm tempted
to play with that to learn. The RPI pico has hardware debug! That stack
also works on many other processors, including the Teensy's. Or maybe an RPI zero?
RPI zero has an HDMI port.... and I'm pretty sure it supports I2C.

Re: Audio Hat Hangup

These may help. Ken will also custom build at a reasonable price.?

Re: RF Board update.

Mornin' Bill:

I'd like to order one of the new RF boards. Is there a new schematic for the board? I didn't see it on your web site.

BTW¡ the new stack of RF Boards here¡ have the following updates:

?

  1. Removed all of the MF stuff but left the jumpers to CLK0 and CLK1 so that they could be driven from something else or checked with no load.? MF done in software now.
  2. Added a cap C74 at the junction of L7 and Y1 VDD. ??This was inadvertently missed in all versions.? If anything, cleans up the noise floor a little.
  3. Changed U106 to a AD8599, and U107 to a OPA2209 (better S/N by at least 20 db). ??Better parts, but the previous parts will work (Identical footprints) in a pinch too with higher S/N.
  4. U21 pin 27 now not connected to anything.
  5. Holes behind the PE4302/PE4312 attenuators to make them easier to solder.

?

This is not intended as a replacement for existing V12.6 RF boards¡ but rather convenience upgrades if you need a new RF board.

?

I think the RF board is incredible.? It rivals many of the commercial radios I have in my radio room.? Lots of people here and all over the world helped with prototyping, building, suggestions and insight, and testing to make this so.

Re: Audio Hat Hangup

Ah Haw now that makes sense.?
I miss the old days of paper catalogs, I was looking for machined pin headers and got no where.?
I know they are out there, was easier to flip thru catalog.?
I have some old ones maybe I can find part numbers and search with those.
