Re: T41 SDT Version 66 with Calibration

Hi Al,
Thanks for clarifying the need for the user supplied audio tone during xmit IQ cal. I will give that a try and report back.

To Everyone having problems with SSB calibration, especially SSB PA power. I did not make it very clear that a signal must be applied to the Mic jack. I will emphasize this in the final version of the Calibration instructions.
I use 1KHz from a signal generator at about 20mV. Set the Mic gain to zero (0) and the power level to 10W. The objective is to set the Mic gain so you get 10W out for an appropriate input signal. In as much as this varies from rig to rig, we can't exactly
specify a signal level.?
?
CW Pa adjustment uses an internally generated signal.
?
it is important that the Cal steps be done in order. Especially check that Transmit IQ setting is done prior to doing the SSB PA power cal.
?
I just tried all of the Calibration modes with V66.3, and everything works properly on my system.
?
If you are still having SSB Power issues, please check to make sure that an audio signal is getting into the system. Check the connections between the Audio hat and the Main board.
?
Hope this works.

T41 BPF 6m confusion
I started to wind the coils for the 6m band and am confused about L601, L603, and L605. The directions say L601 and L605 are 39nH, 5" 24AWG, 5 turns on a 1/8" drill bit. However, L603 is 24nH, 4" 24AWG, 7 turns on a 1/8" drill bit. How can 7 turns require less wire than 5 turns and how can 7 turns have less inductance than 5 turns?

Whose PDFs and from where? The fact that there don't seem to be others with the problem, perhaps your viewer isn't working correctly. Can you view PDFs from other sources? Jack, W8TEE

Re: T41 SDT Version 66.3 with Calibration
Hi Al,
Tried your latest release 066-3 and still cannot get IQ xmit cal to work. RF is a little better but no tone or very low. Thinking I might have a problem I loaded in a release from 01-07-25, attached zip, and using your latest CAL instructions using my FT-991A I am able to calibrate IQ xmit, only tried 7200 but it did work. I also used this version on my Tiny SA ULTRA and got the same numbers. Maybe they are not right Gain 1.007 Phase -0.02 and not even sure this software version is doing it correctly? Re: T41 SDT Version 66 with Calibration
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI reset the Teensy and loaded the version 66.1 S/W. Everything
seems to work. I did the Frequency Calibration with a GDO @10MHz
and got ~0.1Hz error. However, when I tried the Receive IQ
Calibration, I couldn't start Autotune. There seems to be a
problem recognizing the pushbuttons. I could only get "Increment"
and "Save" to work, and they took several key presses. The
information display shows both "Decode" and "User 2" used for
Autotune/Autocal. I was able to perform the calibration manually
with increment = 0.001, and corrected to -75dB to -80dB on all
bands. The pushbuttons work fine otherwise. Does the Mode or Demod
matter before starting the Receive IQ Cal? On 2/24/2025 5:39 PM, Albert Peter via
