Re: Show and Tell Friday #1
Bill, how about alink to where this is on GitHub? Not building the T41, but this might be useful for some of my other projects. Also where to get the encoder? -- John P. WA2FZW

Display Driver 3.3V ONLY board
Another Friday share¡ The new Display Driver board. This is the 3.3V ONLY board. It¡¯s the cheaper of the two options. Use it of you don¡¯t (and won¡¯t) use 5V to power your display (if you will

Show and Tell Friday #1
Just some Friday sharing¡ Here is a finished dual encoder board with 3D Printed knobs (all out on the GITHUB). Replaced TWO encoders. One ribbon cable from the encoder board to the Fron Panel

Re: Display driver board reality
Well here are the logic levels in the Spec sheet VDDIO is clearly 3.3V, Max voltage 3.6. VDDIO Hi and 0.2VDDIO Low. Regards Phil VK2KKZ

Re: Display driver kits shortly
Fair call Bill. Always worth checking Octopart. Just sayin. I bought almost all my parts for my T41's from LCSC and basically got double the qty of parts or more for the same price as if I'd used
Re: Display driver board reality
Not quite that simple¡ Some, but few zeners operate at 10 MHz like the SPI clock and data signal lines do. What you get instead is something that looks like a mountain shaped waveform. People have

Re: Display driver board reality
*** To make protection complete, use a 3.3V zener and a fuse. Goof up, the fuse blows, you fix the problem and replace the fuse. Might want to use a zener slightly higher V, so it doesn't interfere

Re: Teensy 4.1 NE vs Ethernet
Yes the ethernet version will work. This is the version that I am using because I wanted ethernet on my T41-EP. John, G0SDF

Teensy 4.1 NE vs Ethernet
Seems T 4.1 NE are now not in stock at PJRC.? Can anyone confirm, will the T4.1 with ethernet version work?? It has an additional ethernet chip on board.? A plug and cable can be added, but I would

Just a thought but I am no EE.? I like the guidance and list.? The only remaining issue is *or if you DO have the level change hardware on your display board but have not selected it* Is it not

Re: Display driver kits shortly
Well let¡¯s check that out. 1. I bought 10,000 2x5 PCB sockets from LCSC. Cost plus shipping, tax, etc left them at $0.26 each. That¡¯s less than half of Mouser or Digikey (they are way over priced

Re: Display driver kits shortly
Bill and all I'm surprised more people are not using LCSC for components, they are the sister to JLCPCB. Prices are mostly far better than Digi or Mouser, it just takes a little longer for deliveries.

Display Adapter
This one will work for operating the display at 3.3V and 5V. It's about $0.60 more that the strictly 3.3V driver board. Dr. William J. Schmidt - K9HZ J68HZ 8P6HK ZF2HZ PJ4/K9HZ VP5/K9HZ PJ2/K9HZ
