connecting boards.

I am new to this and I am looking all over trying to figure where to put the wires from the 49er j1 and j2 connector that we added to the vfo board.? if I read correctly it says j2 hooks up to j2?? and the other j1 to j1 #24 on vfo.? but in the picture that I am looking at http://www.farrukhzia.com/k2zia/40m-modular-CW-TRX.jpg it shows them on the j3 and another spot.? please straighten me out??
