Howard:
The group continues to be very active. The lull is likely because of the several factors. First, to my knowledge, all but one bug have been eliminated from the Master Bug List. In the past, this was a major source of posting activity. Second, Dr. Schmidt is waiting for reports on his set of PCB for the T41 from the Beta testers. He doesn't want to release their design until he has enough data points to make the call. I have a set, but am being delayed as I rework the assembly documentation for the T41 kit from 4SQRP. Third, the task of redoing the T41's kit documentation is taking longer than expected because of changes that were made to the kit but not reflected in the BOM. David Cripe, NM0S, who is the lead on the 4SQRP T41 Project, was forced to make some design changes because of the supply chain problems manifested by Covid-19 and the worldwide chip shortage. He's waiting for my pass through the T41 documentation.
I will say this: because of the earlier work of the Beta testers and other members of this group, the performance of the T41 rivals rigs costing up to 10x as much. I have made contacts with the T41 on every continent except Antarctica. It's been a long journey, but it will be more than worth the wait.
