ServoCAT Drifting

I have a ServoCAT fitted on a 18 inch Starmaster scope with a Nexus DSC. ?I have been having the scope drift off target fairly consistently, lately. ?I have tried realignment and cycling the power off and on several times. ?The only thing that seems to work is to reload the scope¡¯s parameters into the ServoCAT with my PC running the Sky software that was provided with the unit. This, however only seems to work sporadically.
Has anyone had a similar issue, and, if so, how did you resolve it.

Hi Steven - long time - hope all is well.?

Ok - so first are you sure the parameters, the ratio and the track/goto directions are correct??
For the directions you can do this simple test. With the scope pointed straight up and roughly north push the DOWN button - does it go DOWN? If not the TRACK and GOTO directions for the ALT need to be changed. Then push the CW button ... does it move from north towards the east? If not then the AZ TRACK and GOTO directions are reversed.?

As for the ratios. I'd do the "Simple Track Improvement" routine described using the doc on the CD.?

You absolutely should not need to reload parameters.?

Oh - and note additionally - you have to be able to find objects (after an alignment) for the ServoCAT to work. It will only work if the Nexus is also working in finding objects. Try disengaging - then align - and find a 1/2 dozen objects around the sky. If you can't - then we'd need to talk about what is wrong with the setup for the DSC.?

Thanks for the responses. ?I¡¯ve requested the required files and will do the updates and will report back. ?

Steve, apologies - its been so long since I released version 7 ... and now retired - I forget to ask that question! Which version are you using. Now that stated your symptoms do not suggest an issue related to versions. It should still just work for tracking. I'd suggest you do the things I mentioned previously.

Steven you are using the Sky X to control the Starmaster dob??
