Re: UC22 and Argo Navis for imaging
Thanks Frederic. I don¡¯t use NINA and instead use sharpcap for EAA so wonder if it is detected by sharpcap via ASCOM device hub. Mike

And one more thing. It works perfectly on Az, and you understand that the result was worth such a big investment of time. As for money, in China the prices are relatively reasonable. For two gearboxes

Re: LiFePO4 battery
Alas, you have to think with your own head, and not rely on the manual. The main source of backlash on Alt is a cable on a spring. Therefore, such a design in principle cannot be made without play.

Hi Mike, everything is standard: the wanderer software as well as the USB driver (you need both). Once installed and configured the first time (wanderer empire and usb driver with com port) NINA

Thanks Frederic. I looked at the Wanderer last year when it was still pretty new and I remember someone on cloudy nights indicating that the ASCOM drivers were not working correctly. Are you using

It just means I'm outside for the entire session, rotating the camera, changing the filter on the slide, tweaking the focuser and collimation, checking for dew, launching another live stack. No

I had tried a Pegasus Astro field rotator (the first version) but could never reach focus with all my other stuff in my image train (like starizona nexus reducer/corrector). I ended up selling it

Hi Gabriel, and yes short exposures using some form of deep sky lucky imaging work very well with dobs doing Astrophotography. If I ever get back at it again, the move to Fl has really set my time

Re: UC22 and Argo Navis for imaging
What do you dob astrophotographers do for field rotation? Do you have a rotator or do you just limit exposure times? I have an 18" SC/AN equipped dob and I'm looking into getting started myself.
