Loving the new S2

 

I bought my S2 27 about a month ago, it took several weeks to move it to my home port and a couple of weeks in new bottom paint but im starting to get it out sailing now and its a heck of a fun boat. A friend shot this little video the other night on an after work sail.

I love my 27 as well. It sails like a proper sailboat: balanced helm, points high (long keel) and goes fast. Also handles well here on the Great Lakes with large swells and high winds. Easily surfs down waves to 12+ mph. What a kick!

Surprisingly roomy and comfortable for a 27 footer both above and below deck.

Check the top battens on your mainsail, looks like they are fouling on the boom lift wire.

Nice Video, thanks for sharing.? I just received a Phantom 3 4k about a week ago.? I wouldn't go near the water yet!

It wasn't my drone and the owner said he had gotten his moneys worth out of it if it hit the water.?

BTW, this is just over the Plateau from you in Knoxville.

Also, looks like you have a beefed up traveller. That¡¯s something I might want to do on mine. Is it something you did?
