You're all probably thinking that this is a magnet for idiotic
players who don't know the first thing about netiquette... and
you're right. So I'm posting here in the mild hope that I might find
some interested people who are capable of stringing a sentence
together.

I'm not certain, entirely, how we will shift characters from Indiana
Jones and The Mummy into the future setting. It depends on the taste
of the player. Characters are first come, first serve and the
roleplay is freeform.

The rules aren't too tight, and there is room for semi-adult
situations to occur. Keep this in mind if you are younger than
sixteen, or easily offended.

So far, Lara Croft is the only character that is definitely taken
although there has been a request for Sydney Fox (the person hasn't
joined, or posted yet).

My first post is available in the archives, which are public at the
moment (this may change later, for now I thought you all ought to be
able to see how I write before you join).

The storyline will start on a seach for pirate treasure aboard the
sunken Queen Anne's Revenge, from there it's up to the players to
decide the plot. More information is contained in the first message

I'm hoping this will be an active RPG, filled with confident writers
and plenty of character development and story twists. Hoping,
because no other RPG in this type of genre seems to be alive at the
moment...

I think it is an interesting concept, but I am not sure how you would go about implementing it.

I'm, now, accepting players for New Avalon if anyone, here, is
interested.
I haven't changed the "moving text" on the page yet, cuz some like,

Hey. What do you guys think of this idea:
A site that can be used to pair fantasy/sci-fi/anime artists with
writers which they believe are at the same level, so that they could
combine their talents to make one hell of an rpg.
What does that sound like?
I realize it'd probably be quite hard to find enough artists who'd
be willing to do something like that for free, but, does anyone think
that it'd be worth a try?

Check out www.playbyweb.com . They have all kinds of web-based games there, in all genres, and they are pretty easy to learn how to use. BTW, I love how your email address shows!

I have a few RPGs based on the show 7th Heaven. Basic rules for all games:

You can play any open character from the show, or you can make one up. If you choose one from the show, you do not have to play them exactly as they are on the show (personality, storylines, etc) if you do not want to.

Age is 13 and over, and please, if you choose a *major* character, you must post at least three times a week, or write them out if you will be absent for long.

This game takes place a couple years in the future: 7thheaven_in_the_futurerpg-subscribe@...

In this game, the kids are a little younger than when the show began. Also, there are two additional kids, Eric and Annie's "real" first two children, who were kidnapped and have recently returned home. 7thheavenyoungeryearsrpg-subscribe@...

The town of Seaview is a small, yet interesting little town in Florida. It has an apartment/condominium complex called Seaview Estates that is newly built. The residents are varied, from dancers to teachers to religious people to whatever you want to be.
You can base your character on a character from a known TV show or movie, or totally make one up. The only thing is no fantasy-types like vampire slayers, etc., but if you want your character to be an astrologist, into wicca (but not that your character can point at someone and turn them into a goat or any TV-type stuff like that)
The age limit is 13 and over, we will be starting the game soon. Just send a short bio of your character to the list, and a pic if possible.

Star Trek: Mercenaries is a new PBEM game which is a spin-off of the
Star Trek: Shadow Operations game, currently in its sixth year of play.

Mercernaries highlights the adventures of a team of mercenaries, led by
ex-Starfleet special operations experts, who search the Alpha Quadrant
for work -- sometimes even if it involves doing the dirty work of
Starfleet. These soldiers of fortune call the SS Nightshade their home
and the characters range from former Starfleet officers to an ex
Naausican crime lord.

Mercs does not use Yahoo Groups for actual game play. Our Yahoo Groups
site is a warehouse of data for the players, character profiles, photos
and a place where OCC messages and other "out of character" activity
can take place. All posts are sent to the Game Moderator who posts
several "master posts" weekly, which are compilation of the players'
posts and plot elements added by the GM.

We're a PG-13 game: lots of violence, some adult language, adult
situations are at a minimum, but not completely ruled out.

Anyone interested in joining Mercs should write to ShdoOps@... for
more information. Please, only players age 18 or older.

Um... nix the moving text on the main page, and it looks great.
Scrolling text looks kinda neat but its going to make people dizzy,
myself included. We all have mice for a reason.

Interesting, I've always wanted to game in the Land of the Lost...

Throughout the ages, people from all walks of life have disappeared
mysteriously and never returned. In this particular game, some of
those people have found their way to a savage, and yet beautiful
prehistoric world where dinosaurs, Cro-Magnon man and other not so
nice beasties vie for domination of a beautiful but deadly world.

Well there is a character bio in the files section that will work just fine. It's on the same page as the rules. As for starting out, it would depend on your character, but anywhere you want to start them is fine. Actually I think I'll be starting out my own character in the city and have her 'meet up' with anyone there. Also you can any number of characters, even temperary, just as long as you hvae one main. There will be a predjudice between certain races, but I wanted to see what all the characters were playing so I could set those up. I think that's it. Thanks for asking, Matt:)
