Locked Running light turn signals

I am thinking of converting my turn signals to running light/turn signals and am looking for some advice on the kits from from Run-n-lites. There seems to be two versions, the standard double filament bulb kits and the LED Lite-buddies. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Do the LED versions need a special signal relay/blinker? Do they fit the ¡®74 metal turn signal housings? I currently have amber on both front and rear should I switch to red on the rear, and are red lens available? Are there other kits available besides those from run-n-lites?

I¡¯ll be interested to know what you decide. These look interesting but I¡¯m not sure if they¡¯re legal in the UK

I ended up converting the front lights by using Snowbum¡¯s instructions. It was not too difficult.

On the back I added a set of hyperlites, brake + running, on their license plate bracket. I wired them to the tail light instead of running a switched power wire back to the rear. This was very easy; although the lights have to be turned on before the hyper lite brake light will work. Not a problem if you run with lights on all the time. Very bright and better than just converting the rear turn signals, although less original looking.
