Locked R90S Brake Lever Pull Improvement
I have been considering swapping my front brake 16mm master cylinder for a 14mm from an R90/6 single disk system to increase the brake feel.
I saw this device to change a cable clutch lever mechanical ratio and was thinking that this might produce the same results at a much lowered cost and effort (converting the single master cylinder to twin disks). The one pictured is from Moose Racing and is about $35. It looks like it might be fairly easy to adapt to the under tank master cylinder. Has anyone tried anything like this or have any thoughts on it? |
A few years ago, I converted my master cylinder to the 14mm /6 diameter.? I bought a /6 master cylinder rebuilding kit, then I sent the cylinder out and had a 14mm stainless steel sleeve installed in my original master cylinder.?? I was very happy with the increased braking power that that provided.?? ? Bill Ballon 74 R90s -----Original Message-----

Some time ago I had my brake m/c re-sleeved with stainless? or brass?, I forget, but non ferrous so no rusting, to 14mm with great results. Then I swapped out the 38mm calipers to 40mm for greater leverage and added stainless lines.? Very nice now! Mac Kirkpatrick?
