Triple matching is a misnomer IMO since IDNT you will find the same number in 3 different places on the bike. Also this changed over the years. I’m in Baja so can’t check my bikes in PA. Mac

There are two places on the head stock showing frame number and one place on the engine with matching engine number.

I assume its the frame, engine and transmission stamped numbers which should all match when leaving the factory. A bike assembled with parts from different donor bikes or new replacement components
