M27 an old favorite from my UC18 on a mostly full moon
All, Our Obsessions outfitted with ServoCATs and Argo Navis make for great astrophotography! Here is my old favorite planetary nebula in Cygnus (wow, there are so many planetary nebulas in Cygnus!).

Re: New Owner of Obsession 30"
Hi Omar, I have a UC22 and I would recommend that you invest in the SIPS from starrylight. It's an integrated paracorr to the focuser as I suppose you have a compatible feather touch focuser on your

21mm and 31mm is probably all you really need. IMO, I would save the money for potential upgrades to the scope itself before spending more on eyepieces that you may, or may not use as much as, for

Re: New Owner of Obsession 30"
It¡¯s a little hard to make recommendations on a 30¡± as I have no experience at that size but for my 20¡± f5 classic I use my 31mm Nagler (the termi-nagler ?), and my 13, 17, and 21mm Ethos the

West veil mosaic
All, A very large object (like the Western Veil) and poor weather (it's a rainy night in Georgia) might force one to make a mosaic from captured images from more than one night. I used my UC18 and

SH2-112 is a fun nebula
All, Nebulas really pop when using a dual band filter (I use Optolong LeNhance filter). The contrast of Ha and OIII is great with this type of filter. Here is the nebula a degree west of Deneb. 10

Thanks Fr¨¦d¨¦ric ! With M20 being so bright, EAA was as much fun as capturing the image. Really did not need to do any lucky imaging on such a bright object. The Mallincam camera software can help

Re: M20 on a UC18 + LeNhance filter + DS10cTEC camera
You are right, short exposures in alt az can give superb results as your image. Some astrophotographs are even going to lucky imaging below 1s to produce high resolution galaxy images to get rid of
