For what it’s worth I’d ask Dave Kriege what he puts on his UC line. I have his UC22. What he used looks similar to Ebony Star in both color and surface.?

Ebony Stat was just the color. it was the '50' finish that made it work, and apparently, the -50 finish is not offered anymore. Read this...

I have an Obsession 20” Classic F5 that is experiencing loss/breakage of the Ebony Star strips on the bearings.? I know that Ebony Star has been discontinued for production and is NO LONGER available.? Has anyone heard of an adequate replacement for the Ebony Star lminate?

Don't do what I did and try to image near the zenith.? The ServoCAT tracking is a bit jerky near the zenith.? If you get 5 or so degrees away from the zenith the ServoCAT tracking really improves.

This image has wonky stars, but the nebula is awesome due to the way the Mallincam Sky software stacks.

Thank you for the replies. 

I remember my eyebolts being bigger than 1/4". So I pulled the scope out of storage and measured them. For those interested in Obsession minutia, the eybolts on my classic 25" #236:

3/8-16. over all length 5", threaded 3" 

McMaster carr has lots of eyebolts that match. For example: 3014T143

clear skies.

I have a 2006 25” and replaced 2 of mine from Home Depot with eye bolts. ?I can’t remember but it may be this. It took a few tries. ?

1/4 in.-20 x 2-5/8 in. Stainless Steel Eye Bolt

I know it’s not an M6 ?(too small).?
