Re: Three legged ladder
开云体育Thank you Paul!
VERY thorough. I really appreciate that!!
And WOW are they expensive. I may try modifying my stepladder to a 3legged stepladder with shelf.
I know this has been covered in the old group, but has been lost forever as we didn't get the conversion done on time with paying the $200 to groups.io...:-(

Just to get registered as someone who can send mail.... I'd also be willing to contribute $ to aid the move. And if be willing to take a more active role as needed, the at the moment I'm out of country for a couple months, so not really to jump in with both
{or even one} feet right away.

Re: Three legged ladder
开云体育Roger, I assume that you are talking about orchard ladders, like these… ? ? These are the ideal astronomy ladders because they are so stable. They cannot be turned over except under extraordinary circumstances, and uneven ground is no issue whatsoever. Inclines are also not an issue, unless it were to be really steep. ? There used to be (2) manufacturers who would make custom steps spaced 8” apart especially for amateur astronomers. Tallman Ladders, in Oregon… ? ? ... apparently no longer make astronomy ladders, but it looks like Strathmore Ladders, in California… ? ? … still does, and they call them “STAR CLIMBER” ladders. ? These are not inexpensive, and shipping will be the killer, but if you can find a local dealer who can order one to be delivered with his order of regular ladders it might work out for you. Or, you can get a regular orchard ladder from Home Depot, but it will have the 12” spacing instead of the custom 8” spacing. ? Custom or regular, if you can get your hands on one of these guys you will never regret it. ? \Paul A ? ? ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Roger Greenwood
