The train has trackage rights on Union Pacific from Stockton to Sacramento, allowing it to use UP track to reach customers in Sacramento.? Before the UP takeover the SP, ATSF and BNSF considered the Central California Traction Company to be their friendly connecting road between Sacramento and Stockton, allowing the Santa Fe to serve Sacramento indirectly via the CCT.? After the UP-SP merger, BNSF got trackage rights on the UP lines in the area and started running their own train to Sacramento on UP's Fresno Sub (ex-SP) and the CCT is out of service north of Lodi.
