Hey gang!

With Field Day a week away, we're still in need of a
few things you
might have laying around. The short list of items
needed is:

* 5-foot banquet tables (or similar) to set up
stations on (KE4UW
has 2, WB8VTK has 2, N1KDO has 1, need 4 or 5 more)
* Chairs for operating positions: The
chairs-in-a-bag are
available, but awfully uncomfortable if
operating/logging for hours at a
time. Rigid folding chairs or kitchen-type chairs
are much better
(KE4UW has 2 folding chairs, KN6RO has one chair,
need at least 4 more).
* CO2 fire extinguisher (we have several BC powder
types)
* Coax--lots of coax--lots of long runs of RG-8 type
(9913,
RG-213,RG-8, etc) are best for HF. We'll have 7
beams and about as many
wire antennas/verticals, so we will be needing
something like 1400 feet
of coax. If each person brings 100 feet we'll have
plenty.
* Rope--any size, any length. I'm sure we'll have a
hundred uses
for it.
* Slingshot or bow (and someone who knows how to
shoot straight?)
to put wire antennas high up in the trees.
* We could use another laptop or two as backups.
Roger KN6RO can
get the computer set up with Writelog and is
coordinating getting
everything networked if you have any questions on
compatibility.


So, if you are planning to bring any of the above,
please let me know
and we'll strike it off the list.

Hey Tim,

Thanks for the offer. Maybe best if I get your
phone number and call
Friday and let you know what we still need. By
Saturday morning we hope
to have the wire antennas up, but if we don't we
could use the putter
upperer. Same with the laptop, table, and chairs.
I think we're ok
already with the dry chemical fire extinguisher--we
just had a
suggestion to bring one CO2 unit that would
damage/contaminate equipment
less if used.

I will plan on bringing the following on Saturday
morning:

Not
sure if that's the same as CO2?

Finally, I have a pickup truck. If it can be
helpful
to bring stuff to the site on Saturday morning, just
