Friday Setup
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI managed to find in the shed the wire antennas we¡¯ll use for field day.? I also gave the generator a test run and all seems fine.? I¡¯ve filled the tank, then filled my 5 gallon gas can, so we should be good for the weekend.? I¡¯ve got most of the radio gear carried upstairs to the dining room to cut down on the trips up and down the stairs for this old man.? Tomorrow I plan to bring some tables around to the deck and figure out how to arrange the furniture on the deck to fit it all in.? The rules allow setup to begin on antennas (and radios) at 0000Z on Friday, or 8:00pm EST.? So I¡¯ll probably shoot a couple of lines over the trees to be ready for antenna raising on Friday. I believe the Jeff and Larry will not arrive here until Saturday morning.? I think Eddie is coming Friday afternoon.? I¡¯m not sure what Gary¡¯s plans are.? John will be at a funeral on Saturday and won¡¯t join us until Sunday.? Still need someone(s) to post stuff (or whatever that is called) on social media.? Still looking for a safety officer.?? Haven¡¯t heard that anyone is planning to spend the night Saturday night.? Haven¡¯t heard from anyone else planning to attend¡ªit¡¯s not to late, but if you want in on the meals I need to know today.? (I¡¯ll check my email before I head to the grocery store tomorrow.? Just to confirm I plan to arrive on Friday afternoon by 2pm latest (as have to go to the Alpharetta office that morning). You can mark me down as safety officer and social media manager, I will take care of that. We can attempt the 1am ish satellite pass on Sunday morning, so do plan to stay overnight to help with that. (Will check to see if there are any other favorable passes too). Heather will join us for dinner on Saturday and bring a home made Victorian Sponge cake for desert.
