Dolphin Partsmaster Question?

Has anyone used Dolphin Partmaster CAD/CAM I am trying to Export a DXF file from Inkscape and import it into Dolphin Partmaster does anyone know how to do this?....when I do it the result is a bunch of random shades and lines?

Thanks

Jerry.

I use Dolphin all the time, import DXF files all the time, and have never had a problem with the process.? I routinely use Autocad or DraftSite as the drawing package, then import the DXF into Dolphin, if you would like you can send me the

File and I will attempt to do it on my system and report the results.? I would suspect the problem is perhaps Inkscape is not producing a usable DXF file.?

I have partmaster V13.? Made the mistake of buying before trying.? The CAD is essentially useless.? I import DXF files and find the results "iffy".? Try different versions of DXF when you export.

I run partmaster on a Dell workstation with Win7 and the programs frequently hang, requiring a close from task manager. Dolphin USA quit answering my emails.

Please try before you buy.

I use the lathe and it works pretty well. I haven't tried mill because I have a better program.

I use partmaster and have found it pretty reasonable

Relatively easy to use once you get used to the interface and pretty accurate for lathe work.

I use Turbocad as my main CAD system and pull the DVF files from that into Dolphin

?

No problems here with it.

Partmaster only imports 2D DXF files, they must be lines and arcs, not
nurbs. If Inkscape has the option export to Autocad V12 format.

One of the problem with DXF file is that all the lines and arc's are not connected.
