Re: saved files
Of course it's not a good place, as I said the Mach devs are pretty clueless about how to organise things under Windows. Programs like Mach4 are the answer to "Why is Windows security so shit?". Tony

Re: saved files
i have never had to find the location of mru file list because most apps i have used offer the option of deleting an entry if it is not found. it is in machine.ini which does not seem like a good

Re: saved files
I no longer even run Mach3, didn¡¯t care much for Mach4. Even then I had a fair idea of where it would be, but apparently you needed spoon feeding rather than ¡°either registry or file in Mach4

Re: saved files
Apparently invisible on Spencers PC. Someone should tell the Mach devs about how this new-fangled Windows stuff is supposed to work. I mean it¡¯s only been about 30 years. Tony Sent: Thursday, 21

Re: saved files
What secret? No-one cares. I¡¯ve put MRU lists into just about everything I¡¯ve ever written, and never once put in an option to clear it, nor did any one ask. It really is a very low priority.

right clicking does nothing nor can i find the files in the registry. it i a severe lack to not allow users to get rid of this garbage if they want to. i understand the fat that some people might want

Re: saved files
I meant some programs let you clear the list, eg in MS Office you can right-click the list and it'll have a "Clear recents" option, something like that. I very much doubt Mach4 does this, If the list

Re: saved files
It's called an MRU (Most Recently Used) list, and is typically stored in the Windows registry. Of course given the Mach devs don't have much of a clue about where you are supposed to put stuff

i wrote before with no reply. Mach four maintains a recent fiels list but there is no wa to get rid of old files. this make a logn useless list of current files mixed with a bunch of old deleted
