If you are going to convert why not come up to the latest and use mach4. It runs plasma fine, as well as mill and turn.

Re: Cutting Off Size
If you use the MDI screen, set relative mode and use repeated G1 (x or y) 0.5 (mm). Does it advance .5 mm each time as show on a dial gauge? Cheers, Chuck Hackett "Good judgment comes from experience,

Re: Cutting Off Size
Check everything mechanical between the motor and tool. Shaft couplers, belt pulleys, belt tension, ballnut mount, bearing blocks. Perhaps the the shaftcoupler is slipping or the ballscrew isn't held

If you are using the standard screens, try clicking on the thin REF ALL HOME button as well as the ZERO buttons. I saw some weird offset problems once till I did this. Regards, Les Grant.

Re: Z Axis 1" problem
You have a line G00G20G17G90G40G49G80 that turns off the tool length compensation in Mach 3. Three lines later in your program you have G00G43Z1.8000H2 which turns on the tool length compensation in

Re: Z Axis 1" problem
Check the Mach3 tooltable, and make sure there are no tool lengths entered. The default Vectric post processors use a G53 Tool Length Offset.
