You will have to stay tuned for the results on that one..... We did use different USB inteface silicon (not FTDI) than is in the SmoothStepper-USB and provided ESD protection and common-mode noise

When you zero the axis, you are setting a work offset for the current coordinate system. If the current coordinate system is G54, then zeroing the axis is equal to setting your G54 offsets. Gerry
