Re: Serial cable terminology

I have several cables that are pinned the same if you look at the
ends side by side and the cable that is required is 1 to 1, 2 to 2
etc. and matches up if the ends are opposed (mirror imaged). I
thought maybe it had a name (Laplink, null modem, etc.). No big
deal, I had to give mine away with some other equipment that I sold
so now I've got to replace it. If I can't find one I'll get in touch.

Thanks

Bill

Bill,

It is a standard cable. They come is several different lengths.

Look for one that has all 25 wires. If you have a problem finding
one, I
can send you one.

Subject: [mach1mach2cnc] Serial cable terminology

I need a cable to interface my computer's (DB25 female) serial
port
to the Campbell Design Mach 2 breakout board (DB25 female) . Is
this
an OEM cable or can I find one at Radio Schack etc. and what is
it
called?

Thanks

Bill
