re Safari

Don¡¯t know why but the web interface on this group is not allowing me to answer online for some reason.

re Safari --Maybe its the adblock that needs to be updated or something ?

More and more Safari is dropping behind - can¡¯t use the Google Earth web version with it, or generate the DNA map in Ancestry etc ¡ª thats the times I dive out to other browsers.
My husband favours Firefox - and that works most of the time

I¡¯ve been looking at Firefox too but I¡¯m not that good at inserting myself into new browsers! Chrome keeps nagging me to update it or use features I don¡¯t need and I haven¡¯t tried Brave so far, have you? Harvey has tried it but found it unsatisfactory for some reason. He doesn¡¯t use Mail at all, finding it irritating. I¡¯ve used Eudora in the distant past, also Thunderbird. I don¡¯t use email at all under Windows 10 or 11.

Safari seems to be causing a few problems: entering a new post in blipfoto.com wouldn't work in Safari, but no problems in Firefox.??It must be the tracking systems causing the problem.??If I have a problem with a website I change my browser, but Safari has the best integration with MacOS?¨C passwords with 1Password, one-time passwords from my iPhone etc . . .

I really don't like Chrome: it's grindingly slow, at times, and wants to know who you are all the time.??I use Firefox, Brave and Opera as alternatives, mainly so that I can be logged in with different Google accounts with less cross-reference to track my activity.

And using Spark for this email has caused me problems: it keeps crashing as I write it.??On the other hand it saves the draft pretty well :-)

Makes me wonder where Apple is going half the time. Certainly dropped the ball with Safari. As you said it¡¯s good on remembering the passwords integrating the keychain etc. my husband much prefers Firefox. Horses for courses as they say.

I was picking up new iPhone the other day and had a wander round the latest Macs and came away thinking not impressed. Certainly less and less connectability going on. I wouldn¡¯t like to have to make a decision on a new Mac right now.

Spark is an interesting way to sort a lot of email, Susan.??I use it for five of my accounts (I know, why so many?) and to reduce the quantity of email on my Apple Mail.

And it's made in Ukraine, like a lot of good software.

Cheers

Ukraine? Oh, funny - Harvey was only recently told by his older sister that their grandparents were born there!
