Hi
开云体育Must be difficult times if you have anyone in hospital. We can only wish her all the best. One of my cousins just died aged 95 - died same day 1 year later than my cousin Gwen who was then 92.? This cousin took a fall in a care place and got taken to hospital for surgery. She was found to be covid positive +ev ( from carer), developed pneumonia and passed away. Very sad for an old girl to be alone at the end of her life - she had been quite hale and hearty prior by all accounts.? Carers should not be flitting job to job spreading covid - they haven’t learned the lessons in UK.? Despite things have gone well down here re covid we’re still being cautious, obeying rules, doing the tracking thing can’t take anything for granted.? Still, going after Jude's & Susies with all my heart! Well, it is kind of strange, because I didn't have a girlfriend until I was 24 John

开云体育Hi JohnSorry to hear that he’s frail, but I suspect that it’s not surprising, for his age. I hope that you manage to work something out, but do you have any siblings? Chris

开云体育Have been since last March down here in Aus. Make rare trips out. Once about every ten days to stock groceries and sort of out of hours times when we know there will be few people about. If we have to visit a shopping centre we restrict ourselves to 20 mins max.Basically we are keeping ourselves to ourselves….and of course its easy on acreage out of town.? 开云体育Is your Dad in a care home? or is he still managing on his own with support.?We’re all getting older - fact of life. ?He’ll be managing best as he can.? I have another un-birthday this week. My husband just asked what did I want for my un-birthday this year :-) Never had a party in my life. Only ever had one cake presented to me in my life and that was when I turned 21. I’d already told my mother no fuss as I was going out to dinner that night with then boyfriend of the time and she suddenly produced this cake out of nowhere when she had never celebrated my birthday in her life !! Oh the tales of family ….. I should write a book.? Jude On 9 Feb 2021, at 12:21 pm, John Miller via <johnmiller051118@...> wrote: Dearest Jude & Peter, It's been really tough. He's getting by as best as he can, at his house. It really did shock me when I saw how frail he was. I think the loss of my mother really did hit him hard. Well they were married for 5o years. What I didn't know was they were dating for 6 years before that

开云体育Same here, Jude and John.We spend very little time with other people, and when we do it’s outside and at a distance. ?We have a big enough garden to walk, if we wanted to stay on the property, and the Annex is a place to escape to if marital harmony is under threat ;-) If we manage to move to Dorset (it’s looking more likely, now) there will not be an Annex, but the garage at the property is enormous! 开云体育Our house is lowest and sprawling, verandahs right round so in heat or downpours we can walk round. We throw open all doors and windows in the morning to air the whole place before heat hits. ?We can go for a substantial walk without leaving the property but if we want to dawdle up the road it’s all beautiful.?The scenery constantly changes in different lights. I’ve never been bored to look at it. Lot different to what U grew up with.? Husband has his tractor to play with if he wants to escape tasks :-)?
