Re: ApplePay
Face ID is a nonsense - my iPad Pro rarely recognises me - and even then only vertical not horizontal. I set up keypad numbers for our phones. The SE Phones still have home button thank goodness and

Re: ApplePay
I have found that Touch ID has been removed from iPhones without a Home button but may be reintroduced in a future model; my XR has only Face ID, which is not much use when you have a mask on! Best

Re: ApplePay
How do you set up Touch ID? I have Face ID for my bank but my XR doesn¡¯t have, as far as I can see, a place to plant my fingerprint. That would be handier than Face ID if I¡¯m wearing a mask. Best

Re: ApplePay
I ended up texting my daughter and it seems all three of them use it, so she put me right, that it is indeed the phone¡¯s passcode. Why they couldn¡¯t just say that, I have no idea. Best Susan

Re: ApplePay
Yes, your iPhone¡¯s passcode. I have Touch ID set up so it just use that. Chris

Re: ApplePay
Yes I think it would be your phone¡¯s pass code - probably does it past a certain amount like the card machines do. Jude

Re: ApplePay
I had been hesitating over it ever since I got my XR well before lockdown. I am no pioneer; the West would never have been Won if it had been up to me! :D Best Susan

Re: ApplePay
That sounds like good news! I did try using it today, in my local Sainsbury¡¯s caf¨¦, but when asked to put in a Passcode, I had no idea what to do. Is this your phone¡¯s passcode, the one you enter

Re: ApplePay
Apple Pay is great. It is a contactless system, effectively, with no limit on expenditure. I have both debit and credit (Visa) cards on my iPhone for Apple Pay; I can therefore pay for goods online

Re: ApplePay
I haven¡¯t tried it. Seen the young people all using it. Being promoted as being a more secure way to pay - no one has your physical card to rip off. I haven¡¯t enabled it ¡ª got nagging sign to

ApplePay
Does anyone use this? I¡¯ve just enabled it but not yet used, so no idea how easy or complicated it is. Computeractive magazine had an article on it, so I plucked up my courage. Harvey was not keen,

I am suspicious, Susan. And the assault by security might have been the chaps helping him off the premises. It¡¯s difficult to work out what¡¯s going on, and I don¡¯t believe that a phone call

Re: odd email --- image didnt turn up.
I¡¯ve received this email from someone purporting to be John: But he never replies to my emails, nor does he accept the invitation to join MacCaf¨¦ from his Proton email. I haven¡¯t phoned him, but

If we had a bit more detail I could easy phone again. But they may be a bit cagey if he is in fact in no a mental health ward as against a&e. As I said little I could do from here except perhaps talk

Thank you for ringing the hospital, Jude, that was a really good thing to do. I wish he knew how we are worrying about him, because he is always running himself down and it might help him to know

Unfortunately, if it was marked as from R Miller, I might have just deleted it without opening it. I do get email from unknown sources and don¡¯t usually read them. Best Susan

Home email ¡ª I did check my hotmail account to see if he had emailed there but nothing in there - I must admit I rarely look. Jude
