Re: Digital Readers

They’re mono, Jude. The iPad apps are colour, and I’ve read my MacFormat in the bath on my iPad Air, but the little Kobo is just text and mono pics – but very clear, sharp text.

Susan

I have the Kobo H20, bought after Barnes and Noble stopped supporting the Nook. ?I’ve had it for a couple of years and it works well. ?It’s waterproof, so it’s not a risk to use it for reading in the bath :-)

The backlight is subtle enough to use in bed at night with the lights out and I therefore don’t disturb my wife if I can’t sleep.

And it’s not giving Bezos more money that he doesn’t need ;-)

Cheers

I'm obviously not alone as there is a continuous discussion on Apple discussion area -- do you think they take notice up at Apple when we whinge about something like that monstrosity for a log in.

I have tried out various desktop pictures over time. I like to make the occasional swap - on the older Mac if you had a desktop pic sitting there too long it sort of burned it into the screen a bit. Don't know if it would do it on the iMac Pro screen.?

Not complicated — just try to keep up. ?Husband is coming to grips with the smart phone idea — I am thinking I will let him have my original SE and buy myself a new one - by the time they cut off that phone as we progress to the 5G ?he’ll be more reliable about looking after a new one I hope.?

Just been looking at — trying out the free version to see whether anything on there is useful to me. I see people mention it on local FB page - thought I’d take a look. ?Easy way to throw a presentation together - can be exported off the web as a .pptx. You can make logos and all sorts of things on there. ?Very interesting. ?I don’t think I want a paid “subscription” though.?
