Re: Nurse joke
开云体育Now if you were on a Ten pound Poms chat FB group you’d be in the naughty corner and get thrown off for those jokes.?I got stomped on yesterday by FB for telling someone to use AppCleaner to remove a program to trash rather than sifting through umpteen folders in the library.. said my post contravened community rules and was bullying!! I didn’t take that lying down and protested they’d got it wrong and seconds later apology and reinstated the post.? Jude On 3 Mar 2021, at 12:39 am, Purler <susan.platter@...> wrote:

Re: Hi
开云体育That’s my approach - keep the brain active. Trying not to veg. I have told my husband to keep his xxxx together as he’s always inclined to be absentminded. I have told him I am not the keeper of his glasses or anything else!?Dementia is hard to deal with - been there done that with late Mother in law. When I broached the subject with my SIL back then that something was wrong I got a very angry reaction and “how dare I say our mother was mad“ (which was not what I said).? There were some very amusing incidents and some very worrying ones - but in the end a decision has to be made for the safety of that person as well as other people.? It truly is a hard space between safety concerns and impinging on a persons individual personal freedom in regards to mental health or detoxing whatever the situation is. One doesn’t wrestle lightly.? Jude On 3 Mar 2021, at 1:04 am, Purler <susan.platter@...> wrote:

Re: Hot hot hot
开云体育There are people who are asthmatic or using oxygen etc where a mask is not appropriate or practical.I discussed vax or no vax with GP as regards my issues of allergies and intolerances and anaphylactic reactions and I asked in the middle of the discussion if he was going to have one and he said it came down to personal choice.? My neurologist chap is immune compromised he said so will be doing it but said I would have to rely on herd immunity with my history.? In Australia there has been good acceptance of mask wearing and distancing when govt. says so. Some stores have signs no mask no entry.? But when it comes down to it it’s up to you to police you for your own benefit, not police everyone else. That’s how I look at it. ?So on that basis when required we wear a mask. Currently this is not the case but we still abide by the distancing rules and do electronic checkin ( I came across one place that had check-in and check-out for iPhone ... that was new.? I limit visits to stores and limit time I am there. I only shop about every ten days. If anyone is showing signs of coughing or flu I move away or leave.? I’ve never had a flu vax and I’ve never had the flu.? If I need a tetanus jab or anything GP sends me off for blood test first to test my immunity so I don’t have to risk anything I don’t need.? 开云体育Ouch! That is awful! I am lucky in that I don’t seem to have allergies, although tobacco smoke gives me headaches but that is so rare these days.Best Susan On 23 Feb 2021, at 07:18, Judith Hall <glenidol@...> wrote: Astra Zeneca is to be made here in Australia in Australian labs but then has to pass tests and registration in Australia. More Pfizer vaccine arrived in Australia today. But PM said he always knew there would never be enough for down here. So that’s why they’re taking the path they have. We’re in the sub tropics to tropics so vaccine that doesn’t need same refrigeration is the right choice.?
Our conditions are much different.? I will keep across latest ideas down here.? Our accountant told us today his wife had a flu shot only recently and ended up in intensive care and nearly died. That’s why I don’t do it.? He has some immune problems to do with a form of arthritis and on weekly injections but he’s sweating on covid vax. He can have mine ??♀?? Re: Hot hot hot
开云体育I just don’t know what to think of the situation with people who cannot have a vaccination, as opposed to the anti-vaxxers. I don’t want to be mean and all that but, if I go into the supermarket or shop, dutifully wearing my mask, someone who is excused wearing it, quite legitimately, could easily be spreading infection all around. Some of them seem to think their excuse for not wearing one is the same as wearing one and they can go as close to others as they like, if you see what I mean. What is your take on this?Best Susan On 22 Feb 2021, at 21:10, Judith Hall <glenidol@...> wrote: They can hardly make it mandatory but there has been talk of limitations etc for non vaccinated people like travel or jobs ... that gets people riled. PM encouraging everyone to make a you gov au account where medical history will be kept available.?
Astra Zeneca one not yet produced in Australia and it has to go through Australian testing and approval. It’s going to be made here in Australian labs.? Yes there are anti vax protests.? I am not against vaccinations but I myself will not be queuing because of my food intolerances and reactions to prescribed medicines and anaphylactic episodes. It started with a raging pencillin allergy and has got worse over the years. I have never had a flu vax - but then I’ve never had the flu. Last time my husband drove me to hospital covered in hives and swelling up ?I was on a drip for 2 hrs because I’m allergic to the propellant in cortisone injections. Medical opinion so far seems to think for me it’s a no.? Jude On 23 Feb 2021, at 1:17 am, via <zuiko@...> wrote:

Re: Hi
开云体育I just checked in Easy Books as to when we bought my iPad Air 2 and it was February 2017 with 128GB, so, unless Apple does something drastic with the software, it should be fine for a good while yet. I play a lot of Words With Friends 2 on it, as well as other games, and I play WordFeud with our daughter. I do also use iMessage which confuses me by shouting at me from my iPhone as well! Doom will only run on Harvey’s old iPad Mini but I still enjoy it.?Best Susan On 2 Mar 2021, at 09:11, zuiko via <zuiko@...> wrote: Congratulations to you both, Jude. 开云体育Don’t have anything paying me in part time work. But Covid has stopped a lot of people asking me to do things.I am backing away from doing web page stuff and not been asked to do flyers and posters as no events on. I might actually have time for some stuff for myself…. hence looking into the iPad….. waiting to see what Apple is going to produce.? I am trying to talk my husband into writing that best seller that Hollywood might pick up ?— no results so far. Rover
There was a man on a plane & next to him was an intelligence officer with a dog. He said "Rover seek, he went up the right alley & came back on his handlers right hand" The officer said: "He's smuggling Cannabis, we'll get him at the next touchdown." The intelligence officer said: "Rover seek." He went down the left alley & put his left paw on the intelligence officers hand. He said: "He's smuggling Cocaine, we'll get him at the next airport" Then the intelligence officer sent Rover down the middle aisle. Rover sprinted back to his seat & crapped himself. ?The passenger said Jeesalou, what's wrong with your dog? "R Rover just found a bomb! |
