M365 ecosystem, subscription plans, and Copilot capabilities
Leo Bado
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello folks. ? As Microsoft targets different segments of users ?to deliver relevant products services according to their needs and expectations, I believe we should provide very specific information related to these aspects when we ask on this mailing list ?to get closer to accurate, helpful responses. Office 2024 is not the same as Office apps in M365, and M365 family and school or work are not the same as M365 business subscription. To make things even more complex, Copilot integrated in any of the plans mentioned before doesn¡¯t offer all the capabilities that Copilot Pro offers, and Copilot Pro doesn¡¯t offer the same capabilities an features across all plans.? So, let¡¯s be specific when asking on the list to discover all the benefits of using These services. ? Cheers, Leo Bado. ? Yes, I agree with you folks about asking specific questions.
But, some of us are not yet experts. this older blind hearing aid user is somewhat frustrated with my new Acer desktop running Windows 11. With Office 365. Perhapss, I should have purchased Office 2024. The reason is that the Acer is behaving weirdlike, and the screen reader is not reading smoothly. I tried scanning printed papers with OpenBook 9 and it crashed. OpenBook works fine with my other Windows computer. It is an HP laptop running Windows 10. With Office 2019. And, the tech guy was here twice. Thanks for your expertise. Gaston |
Gaston,

Welcome, but you've just kind of disproven your own opening premise implying that tech expertise is required in order to give necessary detail so that all who are potential assistants have a clear picture of your environment.
?
You went on to give precisely that information for two different machines.
?
BTW, something's wrong with your new computer, but you already know that.? And I'd say if it's been looked at by a professional, is still misbehaving, and is still within the period where it could be returned (whether for refund or exchange) that's what I'd be doing.? There are "lemons" in the computing world just as there are in the automotive world.? One advantage you'll have, at least, is that if you were using M365 and OneDrive from the moment you set the computer up all of your data in Documents, Pictures, and Music are on OneDrive in the cloud and will sync back to any machine where you set it up with OneDrive with the same Microsoft Account.

If you can return it, I would. It won't be worth the time to get it fixed, and no, stick with M365.
