To change to inches please follow the following:
Open a blank Word document,
Alt+F, tab until
Options then Enter,
Cntrl+tab until you hearAdvance,then tab until you hear change units from : cm combo box, this is where you can change the units to inches by default. Please be aware that there is a lot of tabbing to get to this point.
