Takes two day for my post to show up

How come when I answer a thread, it won't show up until two days later? I am still waiting for my last post on the TIA to show up.

? ?"How come when I answer a thread, it won't show up until?two days later?"

I guess you have missed a few other messages about this.

Yahoo, the company that runs the servers on which this group is hosted, has been having major system problems for about the last week.? They have affected all Yahoo!Groups, not just this one.? The most noticeable consequence is that some messages are delayed for several hours, even days.

It's not all messages.

If anyone thinks this is a sign of Yahoo's inability to host message groups, problems like this can and do hit almost anyone who has a presence on the Internet, eventually.? I could tell you some stories about email groups that were on systems other than Yahoo.

Regards,
Andy

I notice if I start the thread like this, it'll show up right away. But if I answer other thread, it takes 2 days.

No: it's completeley 'pseudo) random.

? ?"I notice if I start the thread like this, it'll show up right away. But if I answer other thread, it takes 2 days.?"

That might be so, or not.? Others have reported there doesn't seem to be much rhyme-or-reason to it.

Someone else says that the size of the message affects the delay.? That seems to be true too ... sometimes!

All I can say is, we have no control over it.? New members' first messages here are delayed pending approval, but you are not a new member so that doesn't affect you.

Andy

Why does it feel like Verizon is bleeding Yahoo groups to death in a slow painful way???

Cheers

They aren't.? That is your imagination talking to you.

Verizon hasn't touched Yahoo yet.? Whatever is happening to Yahoo today, is Yahoo's own doing (plus all the daily dangers of being who they are).

I disagree... Yahoo hs lost a lot of people and Verizon is not bothering to sign reqs to replace them... I should know....

That's good to know, I thought only a few people can answer the post. I have no place in answering questions on LTSpice, so I never attempted to response to any other posts. I happen to have been designing TIA for many years, so I attempt to help out on that particular thread. My last one still has not show up yet. it's totally out of sync with the thread.

Hello.
With me, too, it happened. Then I sent the replica of the main page groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/LTspice/info ?(not from the mail) while my post appear at once (but of course under a different name)

Just for the record, Yahoo Messenger , one of the pioneers in Instant Messaging is shutting down as of today,, I have been a ?user for over 10 years and will loose my world wide contacts... Compare that to Skype which ?changed hands to Microsoft....

Why would Verizon have anything to do with jobs at a different company that they do not manage?

I think it's 'jumping the gun' quite a bit to expect Verizon to micro-manage a separate company they do not control.? Assuming that the purchase will be approved (in my future, I assume yours too), then Verizon would take ownership in 2017, and could start making management decisions.? My calendar still says 2016.? We're not there yet.

If there are unfilled jobs at Yahoo now, it is Yahoo's responsibility to handle them now.? Nobody else's.

Yahoo never had a good track record for support, now or 5 years ago.? We were complaining then about not having (e.g., hiring) employees in the right places.

But again, this is WAAAAY off-topic here.

(As for Yahoo Messenger, my personal opinion is to say "thank goodness, it's about time." ?It didn't work right, a lot of time it didn't work at all.? I think I'm glad Yahoo figured that out.? Again, Yahoo.? NOT Verizon, not Intel, not BP, not LTC.)

Some of you seem to be interested in long flaming wars on anything and do't understand the basics of business and how it operates and how acquisitions work. No amount of ?emails would help people who seem to feel they are experts on everything...
Bottom line:
Yahoo as we all knew and may still love will not exist in 1 or 2 years.. It is unclear what it will morph into but one thing is for sure... even the meager support will disappear...
Part of being smart is figuring out how to gracefully transition this group to a nore supported and robust platform.. If the majority of you don't feel that we need to do something, then so be it..

Being forewarned is forearmed.
