INA282

Hello, riscy:

I had asked the same question. But no absolute, ultimate answer for these kind of questions.
You should seek the help from (TI) for those cross-platform compatibility issues.

Best regards.

Hello Riscy00

Please upload your test circuit using the INA282.

Upload it in Files\temp not in Files

Hello riscy00

Please upload your test circuit for the INA282 (upload all needed files in a zip file).

Upload it in Files\temp? not in Files

riscy00 asked about an unknown INA282 simulation which she/he says doesn't work.

Did you try the INA282 test circuit that was put in the Files area in Feb 2012?

INA282_test.zip

Whenever you have an LTspice problem with a simulation you are running, it never helps when you rely on osmosis or telepathy, for us to know what your simulation is.? Without a schematic, showing what you are simulating, we can't run your simulation to see why it hangs!

Can what be fixed?? You didn't show us anything that needs fixing.

LTspice rarely (if ever) hangs with no error on the screen.? Perhaps it is running very slowly?? Check the lower left corner of the screen to see what it is doing in the simulation.? It may be busy simulating with a very small timestep, or it might be attempting DC convergence.? How about helping us help you?? Tell us what status messages there are in the lower left corner.

Many SPICE (not just LTspice) simulations can get slow, for various reasons.

But none of this helps without a schematic from you.

When you upload your files, put them into a single ZIP file, and then upload them ONLY to the Temp folder: ?Do not upload them anywhere else.

Regards,
Andy

I have put these file into folder I assumed it visable to you, it seem not the case so I put the folder as designated.

Aplogise.

You have not.

So far, you have not uploaded any file to the Temp folder.

So far, you have not uploaded a schematic.

A schematic is a file ending in .ASC.? You uploaded a model file, and three symbol files, but no schematic.? Without the schematic, we have NO IDEA what you were trying to simulate -- what the circuit was that used the INA282.

Andy

Finally, you (riscy00) uploaded a file to the Temp folder.

But there is still no schematic!

This means we STILL do not know what you were trying to simulate, what the circuit was that had the problem.

We cannot diagnose a problem when you don't show it to us.? That's like asking a doctor to fix you, but not letting the doctor examine you to see what is wrong.

I found the INA282_test.zip and decided it solve my problem. I think it the name error.?
Thank for your kind help (especially Andy), sorry to waste your time. I was suprised INA282 was included in the files considering it quite new part.

Actually, the INA282 is not very new.? T.I.'s newest SPICE models for it are 5 years old.? The datasheet is newer, but was originally written in 2009, and the INA282 evaluation module user guide is 6 years old.

Use the "Table of Contents" file (all_files.htm) to search for files from this group's archives.? The group has 100MB of files, which are kept for a reason.

Hello,

I just uploaded an example with the INA282 in the Temp-folder.

INA282_test.zip
?

?

I guess the simulation speed is slow, because of the internal switches running with 200kHz.?

Best regards,

Helmut

Hello,

I haven't read all the previous postings. I just read that there has been already an example in the Lib-folder from 2012.?

INA282_test.zip

Did you want to write the Same error ?

Interesting, thank for the info. It good to know it actually matured product, lesser risk.

Please see folder RiscyLTC

I copied the PSpice file from TI website and rename to txt, After putting all together, the simulation hanged. I tried beta LTSpice and normal LTSpice and both hang. It refuse to run and reported no error on screen.

Can this be fixed for proper operation?

Strange... I tried the TRAN CIR file in PSpice... it barfed. Tried it with LTspice IV (with call to nom.lib commented out), it runs, though with an output list of PWL points it didn't like!

In today's typically screwed up models, the TI INA282 model qualifies as gross over-kill... the model makers are so intent on capturing every little minutiae of their device that they fail to note that the object is to have the model run in a system which includes other devices... AND run on other simulators than PSpice or TINA.

When I have some time I'll try to simplify it to the point where it can run anywhere.
