Can't get to "Files" or "Photos" (was: LDMOS SPICE MODELS)

I haven’t found the ability from the /g/LTspice page to download the files from ??/g/LTspice/files/Temp.? Is this because of firefox or firewalls?

There is no way we can tell what the problem is, from the limited amount you tell us. What actually happens when you try to download a file?

Do you get get an error message?

Are you trying to do this on a work computer? Some companies' IT policies prevent downloading.

One other possibility is that you're trying to access the file by clicking on a link in a group message. Files in the Temp area don't stay there very long (the clue is in the folder name). Linked file that are no longer in Temp will have been moved, but still accessible.

Go to the Files area. Copy-paste the file name into the search box in the top right corner, and click the magnifying glass icon. Hopefully, it will be in listed in the search results.

So you looked and can't find it. You can't find it because it isn't there. If you got the name right, whoever uploaded it, may have deleted it. Members can do this.

Pity you aren't looking for the PD85004. I made a model for that.

Thanks for your fast response. I would be thankful to see your model as I may be able to modify based on what I can from s-parameters and matlab

Could you share in email as the files directory will not open from my station.

What country are you in? A few countries appear to be blocked from the Files area, judging from reports from a few group members.

If that's not the case, you should figure out what the problem is. Can you download files from anywhere else?

The PD85004 model is simple and derived from the datasheet using the LTspice proprietary VDMOS model. It won't be perfect because the PD85004 is a lateral MOSFET, not vertical, but it was adequate for what I wanted at the time:

.model PD85004 VDMOS(Vto=2.6 KP=0.73 lambda=0.03
+ Rd=0 Rg=5 Rs=1.5
+ mtriode=0.5
+ Cgdmax=3.4p Cgdmin=0.93p A=0.35
+ Cjo=26p Vj=0.642 M=0.24)

You can use this with LTspice's standard NMOS symbol.

Thank you very much for sharing.? I am in the currently coveted country of Canada.?? We usually get along very well with all of our closest neighbors and friends and have shared very open mutual access.?

There are many ways to get those wrong.
?
Are you currently logged-in to Groups.io?? If you check the upper right corner, does it show your name there, or does it say "Sign Up" or "Log In" instead?? Did you click on a link to go directly to either of those two URLs?? Or did you start at the group's main webpage (/g/LTspice) and then click "Files" or "Photos" in the left column?? Can you navigate into "Files", and see that the "Temp" folder is there, before clicking it?
?

It may be a security thing.

Perhaps.? Was this from your home PC or in a work environment?? It might be a firewall on your end.
?
As for the LDMOS model issue, it seems that it is a separate question, yes?? (I've changed the Subject line.)

Matt,
?
I see you are a brand new member here in this group.? I'm guessing you were not logged-in to Groups.io yet.
?
Only group members have access to the Files and Photos areas of the group.? Groups.io, the system that hosts the group, knows whether you are a group member, on the basis of whether or not you are logged-in to Groups.io.? It tracks that using web browser "cookies" so that you don't need to log-in repeatedly.
?
If a non-member - or not-logged-in member - tries to access the group, they get no Files or Photos sections, and the main menu in the left column of the browser's screen is much smaller.? The only things non-members can get to are Messages, Hashtags, and a Wiki section.
?
To login, click the "Log In" link in the upper right corner.? Enter the email address you used when you joined the group, and your Groups.io password.? If you don't have a password yet, click the link to choose one.
?
Once logged in, the main menu in the left column has several more choices, which include "Photos" and "Files".? Until you are logged-in, those choices and those areas would be inaccessible.

Open It should show which groups you are subscribed to. Does it include LTspice? If not, click on 'Find or create a group' on the top bar. Put 'LTspice' in the Search box, top right. That should get you on the right track.

I tried logging out of groups.io. None of the groups or their pages are accessible, either directly from a browser, or from a desktop URL link. Either option takes you straight to the login page.

There appears to be a glitch somewhere, because if you were not a member of the LTspice group, you could not post messages: if you tried to do that, a message would be sent to the moderators, asking for your membership to be approved.? The membership list is open to the moderators, and you are listed as an approved member. I just wonder if you are trying to get access by using a different email address from the one you have registered, which is Matthew.DEntremont [at] Dal.Ca

No, not right.? Please read carefully.?
?
When you sign up for the LTspice group, you will be signed up to the LTspice group.? Period.? Being a group member means you are a group member and you can send messages to (and receive messages from) the group.? Via email.
?
In order to access all the group's web features from your web browser, you must (1) be a group member, and (2) be logged-in to your Groups.io account.? Without the latter, you are still a group member, and you are still capable of sending and receiving messages via your email, but your web browser does not know that you are a group member, and neither do Groups.io's servers know that some random Chrome or Safari or Firefox browser is being operated by a group member.? You must, must, must sign-in to Groups.io with your web browser, in order to access the web features.
?
When not signed-in with your browser:
  • you are still a member of the group(s) you signed up for
  • you can send group messages from your email
  • you can receive group messages to your email
  • you won't see the LTspice group's Files or Photos or Database sections
  • you can't download or upload any Files or Photos
  • you can't send messages from the web interface (but still can via email)
  • you won't see the page that lists all the groups that you have joined.
