Lock horizontal axis

(1) Choose any plot, drag a rectangle over it all, then all plots get same time axis limits.

(2) Doing this with "Manual Limits" only zooms the plot selected (not all).

So: What I'd like to be able to do is -
?? To precisely specify "Manual Time Limits" for all plots at once - like (1) and (2) combined.
---
I gather there is a way to do this, "lock horizontal axis" - but I have not found how to acess this feature yet.

Hello,

You could use the command from the menu
Plot Settings -> Autorange Y-axis

The shortkey is Ctrl-y

Best regards,
Helmut

Hi Helmut

It's really the X-axis I'm having problems with - see "X-Axis different scales" in Temp.

?? Top: Initial plot
?? Middle: Set precise manual limits on time range
?? Lower: Only one plot pane is "time-zoomed". Whilst this can be useful, I'd also like to be able to zoom all plots simultaneusly - all plots get same time range.

Regards
Stephen.

Hi Helmut,

It's actually the X-axis I have trouble with - see "X-Axis different scales.jpg" in Temp.

Stephen.

PS Mike told me (quote)
"lock horizontal axis should do that."

Hell Stephen,

I just tried with your mentioned setting and it works.

Plot Settings -> Sync horizontal axis

Best regards,
Helmut

OK, thanks Helmut,

Now I can get it to work at least, but it still seems awkward to use:

I have to
1) Un-tick "Sync Horiz. axis".
2) Set Manual Limits
3) Re-tick "Sync Horiz. axis"

(So, not what I'd expect - which would be:
If Sync Horiz. axis checked, then manual Time Limits affects all plots in the same way).

In fact - I have the 3 steps above to do each time.

If I leave it checked (which seems to be the default), it does not work. I have to disable, set limits, enable...

PS: I notice the "H" is underlined on the context-menu, but ALT-H is just "Help", so no apparent hot-key to speed the staeps (1..3) above up.

Regards
Stephen.
