Re: Analog Devices "EngineerZone" website problems (was: Batch Issues)
eewiz,
Can you tell me (either here in this forum or by private email) what is your EngineerZone "username"?? The folks at Analog Devices want to know so they can try to diagnose the problems you have logging in. I guess at this point you have (at least) two usernames, the old one and the newly created one from yesterday.? I understand you might not remember the old one, and it's possible you did not actually create the new one yet for the second myAnalog account.? Also recognize that the EngineerZone "username" is not the same as the email address for logging in with myAnalog - one is an email address, the other is a simple 1-word name.? But if the email address is all you have to go on, I'll send that to them and they can hopefully make something with it. Thanks, Andy |

Re: 74HC14 connected to a local net (not toVCC) in a LTspice project.
Ruti asked, "I want to connect a 74HC14 to a local net instead of a VCC power supply.? How can i proceed ?"
I think you have two ways to do that.? But first, make sure you are using the version in 74hc_v.lib.

The approach is very different from the "YouSpice" website, it is more focused on equipment maintenance and collecting parameters. -- Carlos Delfino Em ter., 4 de jun. de 2024 ¨¤s 10:59, Alan Pearce via <kiwiantipodean=[email protected]> escreveu:

Whether or not a website chooses to "remember" you is their choice and their doing. How they do it is with cookies. Using Incognito avoids cookies, so you would not remain logged in when using a new Incognito browser window. Another website that automatically logs you in keeps you logged in is Groups.io, the host of this group. To be clear, they do not "automatically log you in".? They remember that you are still logged in because you did not log out yet.? You can log out by logging out.? Many sites that keep you logged in (when you do not log out) do so for a limited time, not indefinitely.? That might be a month or thereabouts. A bank (for example) would not remember that you were logged in, for many security reasons.? A website that you use to check public messages does not have the same security issues, so it's OK as long as you use a personal computer under your control.? On a public computer, one should always log out.? There are no laws stating that websites must handle it this way or that.? It is a common sense thing. Andy |

Re: Analog Devices "EngineerZone" website problems (was: Batch Issues)
Hello All,
?
Thanks Andy
My daily work horse is Firefox which I have fairly well locked down.
My Firefox does not show the flying tab.
I see it plain as day when I go to analog.com in Chrome.
I avoid my Chrome because it is not locked down.
I use my Chrome only when something appears to be going wrong with my locked down Firefox.
?
Thanks again

That is how cookies are supposed to work. Good (well, maybe good) to see that it was something about your old account that prevented access.? But even better to understand why.? It should not have happened. And I don't know if this helps, but Analog Devices has a floating tab for sending Feedback, from any of their webpages.? Re: Analog Devices "EngineerZone" website problems (was: Batch Issues)
Hello All,
?
I have discovered that I can log in as eewiz@... to www.analog.com.
It is ez.analog.com that fails.
Andy, by floating I presume that you mean something that is there and does not move when the page is scrolled.
I do not have anything floating from the left nor from the right.
Everything moves as I scroll any page I've tried, starting from www.analog.com after logging in.
I have the standard menu up top with the Support option and the standard banner at the bottom with a Contact Us which leads to https://www.analog.com/en/contact-us.html, with a Contact us by email link at the bottom, which I have not yet tried.
I will wait a day or two to see if the two messages I've already sent produce any results.
?
Thanks to all who have so kindly sought to help me resolve this issue. ?

Analog Devices "EngineerZone" website problems (was: Batch Issues)
Hello All,
?
It's them, Analog Devices.
I created a temporary email account so I could register again at ez.analog.com as someone else.
It works flawlessly.
I have now also noticed that unless the analog devices cookies are erased, simply opening the ez.analog.com page automatically logs in the last user at ez.analog.com.
If that last user happens to be eewiz@..., BOOM.
I sent several emails to the "Technical Support Center" at https://www.analog.com/en/support.html.
I hope to get a reply.
?
The "Technical Support Center" description "Need assistance with your part or design? Submit a technical support case to one of our experienced applications engineers." does not elicit much hope of a reply.
The only other choices are "Customer Service, Need?assistance?with your order??Submit a?customer service?case?to one of our dedicated representatives."
or "Sales, Get Samples, Shop for Products, Pricing Avalability Information, Product Lifecycle Information."
?
To be permitted to submit my message I had to fill in bogus info about project type, expected sales quantities, etc...
I hope the Technical Support Center forwards my email to the web site people, assuming the web site actually originates from Analog Devices.
?
Fingers crossed.

Re: Software that imports ltspice to image in PNG or JPG format
For instance, I used to save a screenshot of almost every schematic I design (there are thousands) besides its plot window (combined or separated).
When I start a new design which is usually related to some previous schematics, I try to locate them by searching (W7 here) the common part in their names after adding the extension ".PNG"; for example, "*driver*.png". |

Re: Analog Devices "EngineerZone" website problems (was: Batch Issues)
Hi eewiz,
I successfully logged in to ez.analog.com at ~ 4:06 PM EST. There were no issues or complaints with the login. I live along the lake shore, a few miles east of Cleveland, Ohio. I am running windows 11 with all of the latest updates. I have Office Home & Business 2021 installed. My standard browser is Microsoft EDGE. I have Windows Security turned on. I also am running the McAfee LiveSafe package. My ISP provider is Spectrum. I am wondering if you have somehow received some type of virus / spam package that is hidden from you. THE BEST SUGGESTION THAT I CAN OFFER AT THIS POINT IS: GO TO YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY. IF YOUR LIBRARY IS A PART OF THE CLEVENET GROUP, THEY WILL HAVE COMPUTERS WITH INTERNET ACCESS. ALSO, THE CLEVENET INTERNET SYSTEM IS HEAVILY PROTECTED FROM VIRUS / SPAM ATTACK. IF THIS DOES NOT GET YOU INTO THE WEB SITE, THEN PERHAPS YOUR CREDENTIALLS ARE CORRUPT. If you are still in trouble, you almost certainly need to reach out to an IT professional for help. Mike |

Analog Devices "EngineerZone" website problems (was: Batch Issues)
Hello All,
?
I tried ez.analog.com at a clients place of work.
I tried Firefox and Chrome on two Windows Server 2019 machines and in all four instances the bad behavior continues.
Both Chromes were pristine, no add-ons whatsoever.
So, that's 2 ISPs, 3 sites, 7 machines, 7 Firefoxes and 7 Chromes.
All fail identically.
?
Is there anyone in America that can report success or failure logging in to ez.analog.com?
?
Even when I don't log in and just hit the Ask a Question button, I get the same white screen until being dumped into someone elses page.
?
I also tried Edge on two different machines at two different sites and I get the same bad behavior.
?
I suppose that I will just have to give up on communication with Analog Devices.
?
If someone feels inclined to send ADI an email asking them to follow and read this "Batch Issues" thread, I am all for it.
