Re: Any Good Reason to Plumb Ground Out of Hier. Schem.
Maybe I'm dumb, but I don't know what eewiz meant in this context.? Some things that came to my mind are these: To "plumb" might mean to bring something straight to ground.? I'm thinking about a

Re: Any Good Reason to Plumb Ground Out of Hier. Schem.
DC circuits can be modelled as the flow of water along pipes of different diameters and lengths, but modelling AC circuits becomes very complicated and usually not useful. -- This email has been

Re: Any Good Reason to Plumb Ground Out of Hier. Schem.
Not really. Simple DC circuits can use plumbing analogies, as can EMI shielding, but AC circuits require little-known fluid dynamics, so that plumbing analogies are not helpful. -- This email has been

Re: Any Good Reason to Plumb Ground Out of Hier. Schem.
Certainly not. Never heard of it in 50 years of contact with english and american electronic designers. Honest, I fail to understand what it means.

I must say I'd like a translation? pof plumbing in the realm of electronics.

Piqued my curiosity. I'd like love to see this. ¡°Electronics is just plumbing,¡± is universally idiomatic, no? -- Michael Stokowski LTspice Team Analog Devices Inc.

Re: THD 0.000000%?
I spoke too soon.? Still not getting consistent THD results.? The latest zipped files (thd_debug.zip) show that changing .param fft_cycles=67 brought back the 'thd=0.000000% line again even though I

Yes, right!. I need it to arrive 0V on both output +/- Right. the output max is around 30V > > > >

Re: THD 0.000000%?
Sorry.? Just uploaded LG_single.asy.? If missing, it could be shorted out in the schematic.? Anyway, I think Andy is correct in that I was asking .FOUR to perform exactly 61 cycles and I suspect

Re: Models LM317 and LM337 made by the same hand
For what its worth they probably won't behave _exactly_ the same in a real design. There's generally a preference for NPN transistors as power elements, meaning that positive side regulators are based

Which country are you in? I know of a British supply of the power transistor at a very low price, comparatively, but not for export.

Hi Ivan, I've uploaded a zip file - some-zener-models.zip - with 2 files in it. The Cordell text file I might have downloaded from here, can't remember. The 1N5241B is in both files. There may be some

Re: Creating My Own Library
Hello all: Ivan, I have uploaded an example project that details how to create a single symbol that permits selection of multiple sub-circuit models. Many thanks to Andy I for his library management

Re: Any Good Reason to Plumb Ground Out of Hier. Schem.
There are actually some "tricks" going on, when a subcircuit (or lower-level schematic) has a "ground" net that comes out on a .subckt pin.? Some years ago I spent some time documenting this, but did

Re: Models LM317 and LM337 made by the same hand
Your upload seems to be missing the LM337 symbol.? And its model too. And it is not a Dual PSU.? Did you upload the wrong thing? IMO, it is dangerous defining a new model for the BZX84B33VLY.?

Re: Models LM317 and LM337 made by the same hand
It looks to me like TLV431AS, making it another member or derivative of the TL431 family.? Connected this way, it would be 1.24 V. I don't quite follow.? The zeners on the output are 33 V (+/- 0.7),

FYI - I made some changes to one of my previous replies, which mostly do not affect this discussion, but I want to be more correct about them. In most common usage, -55 to +100 C would be somewhere
