Re: Importing models from Spice3
Jon, By and large, you can run spice3 models in LTspice. LTspice can use resistor models. But it looks like there is one syntax incompatiblity here, you'd have to put the resistor model before the

Importing models from Spice3

Accessing the Value field for an expression
Is there a way, in LT SPice, to access the value field of a component in a schematic, for use in a {} formula? For example, let's say I have a component, R1, which is 47k. I know that the voltage

Re: Singular matrix: Check nodes u1:v1:hb and u1:v1:hb ?
Thank you so much. How did you determine that? Or is this something I should just know -- to leave nothing floating? Bill --- Panama Mike <panamatex@...> wrote: <snip>

Re: Singular matrix: Check nodes u1:v1:hb and u1:v1:hb ?
Bill, The problem was that the filment supply was floating, that is, its potential wasn't defined. The following circuit fixed this: --- .asc file --- Version 4 SHEET 1 892 692 WIRE -144 304 -144 336

OK, here they are. I have managed to clear up the warnings but still get the singular matrix error. .asc file... Version 4 SHEET 1 892 692 WIRE -16 208 176 208 WIRE 272 256 272 336 WIRE -16 288 -16

Re: Singular matrix: Check nodes u1:v1:hb and u1:v1:hb ?
Bill, It's vaguely documented here and there in the help. It looks like the messages in your circuit come from using curly braces where parenthesis was meant. PSpice accepts with without warning, but

Thanks for the reply, Mike. Where might I find documention on the syntax so I could clean up these models and avoid the warnings? I have put the files for the circuit and model on the web. I wasn't

Re: Singular matrix: Check nodes u1:v1:hb and u1:v1:hb ?
The "Questionable use of curly braces" just means the model is written with sloppy syntax. LTspice is pretty verbose about error messages. You can ignore it. Post the circuit with models for more

Re: Does LTspice allow sweeping of parameters?
It uses PSpice style syntax. There are examples in the ./example/Edcuational directory and it's mentioned in the help in LTspice=>Dot Commands=>.STEP. Here's how your example translates: * V1 N001 0

Does LTspice allow sweeping of parameters?
Hi, In Hspice, I can do the following statement: .ac lin 10 1G 10G sweep my_parameters lin 10 1 10 It basically means that for every ac operating point, the Hspice also does a sweep of my_parameters
