PWL as file (of PWM) make LTSPICE XVII hang
LTSpiceXVII (macOS, but under WineCX) hangs when starting the simulation. It doesn't finish reading the data in a tolerable time interval. Had to kill the application. -- Christoph

Re: 'SYMBOL ind X Y R90' directive in asc file, possible bug in 17.1.9 ?
Both schematics display correctly on my system, in both LTspice 17.1.9 and LTspice IV. It sounds more like the issue might be connected with your graphics card or driver. Some years ago, I had a

I have moved your uploaded zip to the correct location - File > Temp. You should be able to modify your files, if you need to add/change/delete any. Uploads are not moderated, only messages. --

Re: 'SYMBOL ind X Y R90' directive in asc file, possible bug in 17.1.9 ?
uploaded the file SYNC_GEN.zip ASC file with an inductor symbol display problem on my system : when inductor is in horizontal position (R=90 in asc file) sync_gen_v5_bridge.asc has the problem and the

Re: IGBT model example
FYI, I have used this model in a PFC-Booster application. Basically. it worked without error messages, but exhibits high peak current transients. As Tony wrote,? avoiding/deleting the .lib-extension

Re: IGBT model example
Did you not read my earlier message? Change the value of the IGBT from "IKW25N120H3.lib" to "IKW25N120H3". You might also bear in mind that the uploaded model is quite poor in respect of its DC

Re: Multi-cycle current control
Thanks, Tony. With Andy's advice, I think I have fixed it now.

Re: Multi-cycle current control
I'm coming into the middle of this, but your extended waveform from '3-cycle sine symmetry.asc', over 1.2s is quite different to Andy's. I think you have errors in your PWL that give rise to 3

Re: IGBT model example
Changed the value now everything's back to normal. Thanks Tony.

Re: Multi-cycle current control
Thanks, Andy. I might need to explain them. What do you mean by 'push harder'?

Re: Multi-cycle current control
Thanks, Andy. It's difficult to see he absence of a '.'! I will need to fix the transition at the end of the sequence. I looked only at 120 ms and 1,2 s, and with those times the problem is invisible.

Re: IGBT model example
There is no intrinsic SPICE IGBT device. This is why all IGBT models are .subckts. If you're still using LTspiceIV for some reason, the reason your schematic didn't work is because you misnamed the

Re: IGBT model example
Your schematic doesn't work because, presumably: .lib "c:/Program Files (x86)/LTC/LTspiceIV/lib/cmp/IKW25N120H3.lib" ..is an invalid location if you have LTspiceXVII... and you have given the IGBT a

I realise that the model and symbol files are currently being discussed, but as a general rule, please upload all files required to run a simulation that aren't supplied by LTspice. All the files in?
