My father and grandmother were great admirers of Pilsudski and belonged to a Pilsudski organisation in the UK, which supported the Pilsudski Institute in London.? As a child living in Marcinkance, Nr Grodno,?my dad never forgot the day a train carrying Pilsudski stopped briefly at the station and dad was amongst the crowd?cheering him.??Pilsudski's gaze locked with my dad's for a brief second and dad never forgot that special moment.? Dad always had pictures and busts of Pilsudski in his favourite corner of the house, which my mum called his museum.

.? ??My grandfather knew Pilsudski and on his recommendation, settled in the Marchlewsk Region, which is now (recently) being used as study material for modern day schools.
