I managed 61 CW contacts on 40m in 1:39 before deep QSB and heavy QRN made it impossible to copy anyone below S4. It went well. I was running at 21 wpm, and QRS for the slow ops who answered. My sign-off was "TU GBA". I'll sign up for some more slots after I tweak my N1MM function keys to better control the new K4. Can someone let K2H and K2A know that they need to click HOLD TX while running FT8 (17M) please??? they both are hopping all over the waterfall, even walked on me where I've been since 11. Someone needs to teach etiquette to the FT8 ops that have no clue. Ive QSY per sked tro 20 but that type of operation is not what the event condones, or has not in the past...Thanks K4NDN

Guys and gals, I totally forgot about an obligation I made 6 weeks ago for our annual church fellowship picnic. I have had to cancel my FT8 on 17 11-1 and the 20 1-3. I apologize for this oversight and I ask if anyone can pick those up I appreciate it. I will be home probably about 230-300 and will get on air FT8 filling any open slots that I can. I was on the sked for 20 SSB from 11-1 but can't hear very well while monitoring as the 9-11 op is working that band/mode. Switching to 30m FT8, which was open on the spreadsheet. 73, Kay N3KN

I just got off 17 meters, seems active. 50 - 6- per hour. Two slots open if anyone wants. I was on 18.132. David, K2WPM

I slipped in right behind N3MN on 14247 at 1pm and never looked back. 20M QSB was slower and less frequent today which made for some great runs. 6’s and 7’s held their own pretty well with the Midwest. I was able to pick up AL7TC for my first AK of the event. I also had to remember to occasionally point the beam north and south to pick up the weaker VE’s and FL stations. Once again the vast majority of folks new how to behave in a pileup it made things much less stressful even at rates of over 170/hr. Ignoring those who threw their callsign in while I was still in QSO with someone seemed to help keep things in line. Overall I was really surprised at the good behavior and the resultant efficiency of operating. The final count was 330 Qs in 2 hours, and a pleasant, friendly, and fun time by all. I noticed W4TEA got right on frequency after me, keeping the K2B 20M SSB torch lit! 73, Rick N1RM

I recently posted a new topic to the groups.io message area, but it did not show up on the web site. I'm trying again with this message to see if it shows up. Is it possible that new topics are moderated? I think that perhaps many topics intended for this site ended up on last year's site. There are more 2022 messages on the 2021 group than there are on the 2022 group. Rick N1RM
