Operating guidelines / frequency plan?
Are there general operating guidelines for K2B? I don't remember much about last year. My N1MM function key file contains just the normal CQ, so I assume folks will recognize the 1x1 calls without any special prompting.
My F3 "thank you" function key contains this: TU GBA {MYCALL} What the heck does "GBA" mean? I dimly recall someone suggested we send 76 instead of 73 at the end of a QSO. Is that recommended, or was that a flash in the pan? What frequencies are recommended for calling CQ? Up 76 kHz from the bottom of the band? Something else? Thanks. --- mike N4CF x (x)

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOne more question regarding N1MM:? is the 13 Colonies User Defined contest file still good from last year?? ? Mike, WA8AHZ ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Mike Dodd N4CF

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýMike (N4CF),I think GBA might mean God Bless America. Last year I suggested that 73 & 76 (as ¡°73 es 76¡± on CW) be used, 73 for its well known meaning and the newly invented 76 being the numbered radiogram (SEVENTY SIX, ?if actually used as a numbered radiogram) reminiscent of ¡°1776¡± and carrying the meaning of something like ¡°Have a Happy American Independence Day¡±. What do you (collectively) think? I don¡¯t remember any specific frequencies from last year, but that could be limiting if there were multiple K2(X) stations on the same mode on their respective portions of the band.
